Getting started with Bev

Everything you need to post your first vacancy, apply for your first role, or onboard your team.

Bev is Syria's AI-powered hiring platform. Employers and NGOs use it to post vacancies, shortlist candidates, check references, and message applicants — all in one place. Candidates use it to upload a CV once and get auto-matched with roles that fit their skills. This guide walks you through the platform end-to-end: signing up, setting up your profile, creating or applying to a vacancy, and getting the most out of the AI features. If you hit any issue along the way, reach out — our team replies within a business day.

Intro to Bev

A quick tour of what Bev does and who it is for. Private-sector employers, NGOs, and project teams all use the same platform: post a vacancy, receive structured applications, let the AI rank candidates, and manage the whole pipeline without leaving one screen.

  • Try the demo

Click around without signing up. Post a sample vacancy, explore a candidate pipeline — changes reset when you refresh, so nothing is saved.

  • Onboarding sessions

Book a free 30-minute walkthrough with our team — we'll help you set up your first vacancy or candidate profile end-to-end.

  • Video library

Short video tutorials covering the most common workflows — posting a vacancy, shortlisting, CV extraction, references, and messaging candidates.

Setting up your account

Pick your role and follow the matching onboarding flow. Employers and NGOs set up a company profile, verify their identity, and post their first vacancy. Candidates upload a CV and fill in the details the AI couldn't infer automatically.

Most teams finish onboarding in under 15 minutes. If you're inviting colleagues, you can add them as team members with different permission levels — recruiters, hiring managers, or admins.

Pick your path

  • For employers & organizations

Complete your company or organization profile, verify your identity, and post your first vacancy or project.

  • For candidates

Upload your CV once — we'll extract your skills, experience, and languages automatically, then match you with roles that fit.

Joining an existing team

If a colleague has already set up your organization on Bev, ask them to send you an invite from the Team Members page. You'll receive an email with a link to join the workspace and finish your personal profile.

Key Features

The features below are what make Bev different from a generic job board. Together they turn weeks of back-and-forth into a few focused hours, and surface the right candidate for every role.

  • Post a vacancy in minutes

A structured vacancy form covers everything employers and NGOs need — title, location, required skills, languages, start/end dates, references, and attachments. No generic forms, no Excel.

  • AI-powered CV extraction & matching

Our AI reads uploaded CVs, pulls out skills, experience, and language proficiency, and automatically ranks candidates against each open role. Employers see the best fits first.

  • Smart filters & shortlists

Search and filter candidates by skill, location, language, salary expectations, and availability. Save a shortlist and share it with your hiring team in one click.

  • References & letters

Collect verified references directly — phone, WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, or a signed recommendation letter — per the exact requirements of each vacancy.

  • In-app messaging

Chat with candidates or employers directly inside Bev — no WhatsApp chaos, no missed replies. Every conversation is tied to a specific vacancy.

  • Dashboards & analytics

Track open vacancies, applicant volume, average time-to-hire, and which sources bring you the best candidates — all on one dashboard.

Core Concepts

A few terms show up everywhere in Bev. Knowing what they mean makes the rest of the platform much easier to navigate.

Vacancies & Projects

A vacancy is a single open role — a software engineer, a field coordinator, a graphic designer. Each vacancy has its own requirements: skills, languages, location, salary range, and reference requirements. Projects group related vacancies together — useful when an NGO launches a program, or a company opens several roles at once.

Candidates & applications

A candidate is anyone who has created a profile and uploaded a CV. An application is created the moment they apply to a specific vacancy — it carries their CV snapshot, their answers to the vacancy's questions, references, and the full conversation thread with the employer.

AI matching & ranking

When a CV is uploaded, our AI extracts skills, experience, and language levels, and compares them to every active vacancy. Employers see a ranked list of candidates — strongest fit first — with a clear breakdown of why each person scored where they did. You can always override the ranking.
